The Stable View is in Bowness, right on Windermere. It's a ground floor apartment in a stone house, sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom.
You get a private balcony off the living area. It looks straight out over the lake. It's a good spot to sit.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. Everything's on one level, so it's accessible if stairs are a problem. It's all electric.
There's a pub and a restaurant about a hundred yards away. The shops are a bit further, maybe a mile's walk. You're right in the middle of things.
From the balcony, you can watch the steamer boats on the lake. You can get on them from Bowness jetty, which is a short walk. Beatrix Potter's place, Hill Top, is a drive, but the museum in Bowness is close by.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair friendly at the entrance. No pets.
For planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The National Trust has a lot of properties nearby too, like Fell Foot at the south end of the lake.
