Cosy Nook is in Ambleside. It's a terraced cottage built on a slope, so it's over three floors. That gives you a decent view of Wansfell from the front.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom is on the first floor, the other is an en-suite on the second floor.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and functional, not luxurious. The stairs are worth noting. They're cottage stairs, so they're steep and narrow in places, especially the ones up to the top bedroom.
It's in a quiet spot but only a ten minute walk downhill to Ambleside centre. All the shops, cafes, and pubs are down there. The Lake District National Park site has good walking information.
You're right in it for walks. You can start on the fells from the door. For the water, Windermere is a short walk away at Waterhead, where you can get on the cruises.
Outside, there's parking for one car and a little bench area by the front door.
Inside, it's open plan on the ground floor with the living area and kitchen. There's a fold-away dining table. It has WiFi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
