Fell View
It's called Fell View. It's in Ambleside. You're right in the village centre, which is handy.
It's an apartment, not a cottage. First and second floor of an old Lakeland stone house. It's been done up very modern inside, clean lines and quiet colours. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Sleeps up to seven.
The view is mostly over the bowling green and the rec, but you can see Loughrigg and some of the fells from there too.
You've got all the usual stuff: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are supplied. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The rating is 3 Star, but it's done to a good standard.
You can walk straight out into Ambleside. Shops, cafes, pubs, all on the doorstep. For walks, you can head up Loughrigg straight from the door, or get to some of the bigger fells within a short drive.
Grasmere is about ten minutes by car, Windermere maybe fifteen. The Langdales are a twenty minute drive. You're well placed for most of the central Lakes.
