Strawberries And Cream
Strawberries And Cream is an apartment in Bowness on Windermere. It's in the centre of the village, so everything is on your doorstep.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated fairly recently, so it feels clean and modern. The living room window has a view of part of the lake and the hills.
The shop and the pub are about ten yards away. They're both useful. The launderette is about half a mile if you need it.
You're a few minutes' walk from the landing stage for the Windermere ferry. That goes to Lakeside. There's an aquarium there and you can get the steam train to Haverthwaite.
You can walk straight out from the door for some of the low-level lakeside walking. For the bigger fells, you'd need to drive 15 or 20 minutes to get a good start.
There's on-site parking for one car. We have a garage nearby as well, which you can pay to use. It's handy if you've brought bikes or a kayak. We also have a few mountain bikes and a paddle board you can hire from us directly.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, a TV, and the WiFi is included. Bedding and towels are provided. We can put a cot in if you need one.
