Warner Lea is in Bowness, a terraced house on a street near the centre. It's in a conservation area, so the outside looks a certain way. The front is right on the pavement, but you get the back garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside, so it's comfortable. The floors are oak and there's a multi-fuel stove in the living room. You get bedding and towels.
The stairs are steep. It's an old house.
There's a shop, a pub, and restaurants about 400 yards away. You can walk down to the lakefront in a few minutes. You can get the steamer boats from there. The car ferry across the lake is at Ferry Nab, which is useful for getting to Hawkshead.
Windermere village is a mile away for more shops. Ambleside is about a 15 minute drive. Coniston and Grasmere are within half an hour.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, and parking for one car on site. There's a cot and highchair. No pets.
If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
