Orrest Head Cottage
Orrest Head Cottage is in Windermere. It's a detached house in the grounds of the main house.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. That's handy with five people. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The view from the back is over a vegetable garden and fields towards the lake. It's a proper Lake District view. The house backs right onto the path through Common Woods, which goes up to Orrest Head. It's one of the best short walks here, great if you want to get straight out without driving.
You're in a quiet spot, surrounded by National Trust fields, but you can walk into Windermere village in a few minutes. There are pubs, restaurants, and a Booths supermarket there.
It's good for walks from the door. For other things, Ambleside is about ten minutes by car, Grasmere is about twenty minutes. You can be in Keswick in half an hour.
Facilities: there's a garden, parking, WiFi, TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
