Fell View
Right, Fell View. It's one of two cottages next to our house up in Kentmere. The valley here is very quiet. You get a good view of the fells from the windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works and it's clean. It's comfortable, but it's not a hotel.
You're really here for the walking. You can step out the door straight onto the footpaths. For a bigger walk, the Kentmere Horseshoe starts from the village. If you want to drive, Haweswater and Long Sleddale are close by. The rest of the Lakes are within about half an hour.
The nearest shop and pub is in Staveley, about four miles down the road. They've got a couple of pubs, cafes, and a bike hire place if you need it.
For facilities, you've got a TV, WiFi, parking right outside, and all the bedding is included. The electricity is in the price.
