Four Seasons

Four Seasons is in Cowan Head, near Kendal. It’s an end-terrace cottage right next to the River Kent. You can see the river from most of the windows. It’s quite a fast-moving stretch of water, so it’s not for paddling, but it’s nice to look at.

The cottage sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they’re a bit steep.

There’s a shop about half a mile away. A pub and restaurant are about a mile and a half. The garden has a patio area with furniture.

The cottage is right on the Dales Way footpath. You can walk straight from the door into Staveley village, which takes about half an hour. Staveley has a couple of pubs, a bakery, and a brewery tap.

For the lakes, Windermere and Bowness are about a fifteen minute drive. Ambleside is about twenty minutes. Kendal is ten minutes in the other direction. All the main Lake District spots like Grasmere, Hawkshead, and Coniston are within half an hour’s drive.

Inside, there’s a wood burner in the living room. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking for one car on the drive. No pets, sorry.
