Raven House is in Kendal. It's a three storey stone house on a normal residential street. There's a bit of a garden out front and a patio round the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been well looked after and it's comfortable. The stairs are steep, because it's an old house. The bathroom with the bath and walk-in shower is on the top floor. There's also a separate toilet in an outhouse outside, on the ground floor.
You've got a woodburning stove in the front room, which is nice when it's cold. The kitchen has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
The location is good if you want to be able to walk into Kendal. You're a few minutes' walk from the town centre. There's a craft pub called The Factory Tap almost on your doorstep, and a play park just over the bridge by the river.
You're on the edge of the Lake District. It's about a 20 minute drive to Windermere or up into the fells. The Lake District National Park site is useful for planning. The Yorkshire Dales are also about half an hour away if you fancied that.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
Useful links for the area: Levens Hall is nearby, and for walking routes, the National Trust has lots of information.
