Apartment 3
Apartment 3 is in Shaw End Mansion, just outside Kendal in Cumbria. It's on the first floor, up a big, sweeping staircase.
The apartment is a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms: a double with an ensuite shower room, another double, and a twin room. There's also a family bathroom with a bath. The ceilings in the living room are high and the windows are huge, so it's very light. There's an open fire. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. You share a utility room on the ground floor with a washing machine and freezer.
The mansion is set in about 200 acres of land, which you're welcome to walk around. It's a working farm too. If you ask the owners, you can sometimes visit or help feed the lambs. There's fishing on the river during the season. They have rights for one rod, as long as you've got your rod license.
Kendal is a couple of miles away. It's a good market town with shops, supermarkets, and a leisure centre. Windermere is about eleven miles away. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is about four miles in the other direction. So you're right between the two.

Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the apartment itself is up a flight of stairs.
