Mount Cottage

Mount Cottage is here at Brockholes Farm, just outside Tebay. It's one of five cottages here, converted from old farm buildings. The main living area is upstairs. It's open plan so everyone can be together. The view from up there is good, you look right down the valley and over the river.

It sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms, all on the ground floor. Two have their own en-suite shower rooms, and there's a third family bathroom. That helps with mornings. It's got a 4 Star rating.

Outside, you get your own seating area. There's a shared kids' play area on the farm too. You're welcome to walk on our land down by the River Lune. There's fishing available if you want it.

Location wise, you're two miles from Tebay services. The M6 is right there, which makes getting around straightforward. You're sort of in the middle of three good areas: the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North Pennines. Kirkby Stephen is about ten minutes drive, it's a proper little market town with shops and places to eat. Kendal is about twenty minutes, that's bigger for shopping.

From Kendal, you can get into the main Lake District bits like Windermere and Ambleside in maybe forty minutes, depending on traffic. For walking, the Howgill Fells are right on your doorstep, and they're quieter than the main Lakes.

In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
