Riverbank Cottage Tebay

Riverbank Cottage is on our farm by the River Lune. It's detached and all on one level. You get your own garden with a table and chairs, looking right across the river and up the valley.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. The bathroom is a wet room, which is good if you have any trouble getting in and out of a bath. The living area opens into a small conservatory.

The place has a 4 Star rating. It’s spotless and everything works, but it's not fancy. It's a converted farm building, so the rooms are a good size but the ceilings are quite low in parts. If you're very tall, you'll need to mind your head in the doorways.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's a shared kids' play area on the farm, and you're welcome to walk on our land down by the river. If you want to fish, let us know and we can sort a day ticket.

The M6 is close, just a couple of minutes’ drive. Tebay services is there, which is handy for fuel and good food. The farm itself is quiet. The only noise you'll hear is the river and the sheep.

You're right between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Kirkby Stephen is about ten minutes away by car. It's got shops, pubs and a station. Kendal is maybe twenty minutes.

For walks from the door, the Howgill Fells are just there. They're steep but the views are worth it. For a proper day out, you’ve got the Lake District or the Dales, both about half an hour’s drive.

Included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, parking right outside. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
