Gateside Farmhouse Sedbergh Howgill

Gateside Farmhouse is up the hill from Sedbergh, on our working farm. It's very quiet up here, just sheep and the view. The view is across to the Howgill Fells from every window. You can see them from the kitchen sink.

It sleeps ten, over five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and comfortable. We've just finished a big renovation on it. The rooms are light and the floors are solid. It's on three floors, so there's space for everyone to spread out.

You're on a farm, so you'll see us going about our day sometimes. The lane is a national cycle route, so you might get the odd cyclist going past. Sedbergh is about two and a half miles down the hill. It's a good walk or a five minute drive. It's a proper little book town with cafes and shops.

For a longer walk, you're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Howgills themselves are great for hiking, straight from the door. You can drive into the Dales proper in about twenty minutes.

We leave a small welcome pack with basics so you can have a cup of tea when you arrive. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility room. There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is enclosed and there's plenty of parking.
