This is 2 Farfield Cottages. It's in Dowbiggin, just outside Sedbergh in Cumbria. The cottage used to be part of a 19th century mill. It's right on the River Clough, you’ll hear the water.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean but not high-end. The conversion was done well. There’s a fitted oak kitchen and pine furniture.
The main thing is the location. You walk out the door and you're straight onto the footpaths for the Howgill Fells. It feels very quiet. Farfield Mill, which is an arts centre, is right next door. Sedbergh itself is about a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there.
You're sort of between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District here. Kendal is about a 20 minute drive. The M6 is close if you need it, but you don't really notice it. For a proper day out, you can be in the heart of the Lakes or the Dales in under half an hour.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden. You can sit out there. Parking is on site. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog.
