2 Farfield Cottages Dowbiggin

It's called 2 Farfield Cottages. It's in Dowbiggin, which is just outside Sedbergh. The cottage is right by the River Clough. Used to be part of the mill building about a hundred years ago, they've done it up since.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable, nothing luxury. The kitchen is oak, and the furniture is pine.

The main thing is the location. You open the back gate and you're straight onto the footpaths for the Howgill Fells. Literally no need to drive if you just want to walk. The Farfield Mill arts centre is next door if that's your sort of thing.

Sedbergh is about a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. You can walk it in twenty minutes if you don't mind the hill.

You're in a good spot for both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Kendal is about a twenty minute drive. The M6 is about fifteen minutes if you need to get on it.

For facilities: there's a proper enclosed garden, which is handy with a dog. You can bring one pet. Parking is right there. Bedding is included. The view from the back is of the river.
