Old Chapel
So this is Old Chapel, in Levens. It's the ground floor apartment of the old village chapel, converted into two places. You get your own front door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, a bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so expect comfortable but not luxurious. Everything you need is there.
The main room is open plan. The windows face south, I think, so it's quite light. There's a decent view from the front over the Lyth Valley, which is a lot of green fields. The private patio is out the back, overlooking more fields.
A few things to note. It's all on one level, so there's a step-free entrance which is handy. The garden is enclosed if you need that. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all the usual stuff.
The village shop is just up the road, about a minute's walk. The pub, the Hare and Hounds, is about half a mile away. They do food.
Location wise, it's good. You're right on the edge of the Lakes without being in the middle of it all. Windermere is about a ten minute drive. Kendal is close for supermarkets and the cinema. Levens Hall is basically next door, famous for its topiary gardens. Sizergh Castle is very nearby too.
You can easily head west to the coast, or over towards the Dales. The Lake District National Park starts just up the road. For walking closer to home, the Arnside and Silverdale area is about a twenty minute drive and it's very nice.
No pets allowed, sorry. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
