Levans Cottage
Levans Cottage is in Meathop. It’s one of six cottages in a big converted house. The house sits in ten acres of grounds. The views are good, south-facing over fields towards the sea and hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main room downstairs is open plan. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you’re bringing a dog. You can have one pet.
There’s a pub down the road, about a five minute walk. They do food. The nearest shop is in Grange-over-Sands, about three miles away.
You’re well placed for getting about. Grange-over-Sands is a small seaside town with shops and a golf course. Windermere is twenty minutes’ drive. Cartmel is close, it’s got the priory and the racecourse. The big houses like Holker Hall and Levens Hall are a short drive away.
For a longer day out, the southern Lake District fells are easily accessible. You can be at Coniston or Langdale in under forty minutes.
The facilities are what you’d expect. Washing machine, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
