Hill Top Barn
Hill Top Barn is in Newton, in Cartmel. It's a converted barn, detached. You can see fields from the windows.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living room is big and has a wood burner. The stairs go up through an arched window, so you get the light and the view as you go up.
The kitchen is large. There's a sun room off the living area. We see birds and sometimes deer from there.
The garden is enclosed. There's a stone patio with furniture.
The village pub is a five minute walk. It's a proper old pub. Further along, the same place has a restaurant with a Michelin star, if you want something special.
You're a short drive from Cartmel village, which has the priory and the racecourse. Newby Bridge, where you can get on the lake steamers, is about ten minutes by car. The coast at Grange-over-Sands is about four miles.
For walks, you're on the edge of the southern Lakes. Windermere is about a fifteen minute drive. The Lake District National Park website has good walking maps.
Facilities: parking, WiFi, TV, washer, dishwasher, wood burner. Towels and bedding are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
