Hill Top Barn is a converted barn in Newton in Cartmel. It's detached. You get an enclosed garden which is a good size. Nice views over the fields.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable.
The living room's big, with a wood burner. There's a sun room off the back which catches the morning light. We get deer in the field sometimes.
The kitchen is large. Good for a crowd. Dishwasher and washing machine are there. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. Parking is on site.
There's a pub in the village, about a quarter of a mile away. Decent food. Cartmel village is a few minutes in the car, famous for its priory and the sticky toffee pudding shop. The shore of Lake Windermere is about a fifteen-minute drive. Newby Bridge is the same sort of distance, where you can get steamer trips.
It's in the south Lake District so you're well placed. Grange-over-Sands is a short drive to the coast. For walking, you can get onto the fells easily. National Trust Lake District has good information on nearby walks and places like Fell Foot.
