Coopers Cottage

Coopers Cottage is in Low Wood, Cumbria. It's a terraced cottage, right on the edge of the estuary. You hear the wind in the trees, not the main road, but you're on it quickly.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s been restored well, so it’s comfortable and clean.

There’s a multi-fuel burner in the living area and underfloor heating. It gets properly warm. In the summer, you can sit out on the patio. It looks out over a paddock.

The place used to be part of a gunpowder works, from 1798. Now it's just these cottages and the clock tower left. You can walk down to the water from here.

The local pub is about a five-minute walk. It does food. The nearest shop is four miles away, so you’ll want to bring your basics with you.

For a day out, the beach at St Bees is about five miles. It’s a good coastline for walking. The Lake District National Park is about a twenty-minute drive. Keswick is within half an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
