Coopers Cottage is in Low Wood, Cumbria. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main road is close by, which is handy for getting to places, but the cottage itself is quiet. You just get the wind and birds. It's been restored. There's underfloor heating and a multi-fuel burner in the living area, so it's warm.
Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. The view looks out over a paddock. You're welcome to use the grassy area. The garden is enclosed.
The cottage used to be part of a gunpowder works, from around 1798. Not much is left now except the row of cottages and the old clock tower. You can see the estuary from here.
There's a pub and restaurant about a five minute walk away. The nearest shop is four miles. The beach, at places like St Bees, is about a twenty minute drive.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. A highchair is available. We accept up to two dogs. The living area is open plan.
If you're planning trips, the Lake District National Park site is useful. For local history, Stott Park Bobbin Mill is about a 25 minute drive and gives you a feel for the area's industrial past.
