Yan Cottage is in Lowick Green, which is just outside the Lake District National Park boundary. It's a three bedroom place that sleeps four. One is a bunk room for kids. There's one main bathroom and an ensuite off the main bedroom.
It's a 4 Star place. It's modern inside, quite an open plan layout downstairs. You've got Sky TV and decent wifi. Outside, there's a flagged patio area with seating that's yours to use.
The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They're not a ladder, but they are steeper than in a new build.
There's a shared games room next door with a pool table, table tennis, and a washing machine and dryer. There are also some stone outbuildings you can use for bikes or walking gear. Parking is on site, and there's a shared electric vehicle charging point if you need it.
Pets are welcome, up to two.
Ulverston is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets, shops, and pubs. It's got the Laurel and Hardy museum if that's your thing. The beach at Bardsea is about seven miles.
You're well placed for the South Lakes. Coniston Water and Windermere are within a 30 minute drive. For walks, you're close to the southern fells like the Old Man of Coniston. For a day out, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is about 40 minutes by car.
