Little Knott is on the road just outside Blawith village. It's a detached cottage, originally from the 18th century. It looks out over fields from all the windows. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been refurbished, but we kept the original stone flag floors, oak doors, and beams. The upstairs living room has the best views. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, typical for an old place.
There's a pub about a mile away in the village. The nearest shop is three miles, so plan for that. You're about a mile from the southern end of Coniston Water.
For days out, Coniston village and Lake Coniston are a short drive north. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks. Grizedale Forest is nearby for cycling or walking. Hawkshead and Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's house, are within half an hour. So are the ferry points for Windermere.
Facilities: It's got parking, a garden with a patio and barbecue, a woodburning stove, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, and storage for bikes. Bedding is included. We have a cot and highchair. We accept up to two dogs.
