Cragg Cottage is in Bouth. It's a small village south of the lake. It's one of a pair of cottages attached to a farmhouse. You can't see the farm from your side, so it feels private.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bedroom has an en-suite shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, but it's a cottage. The ceilings are low in places and the beams are heavy. If you're tall, you'll need to watch your head.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. You can just let them out. There's a patio with furniture and a BBQ. The view is over fields.
The village has an excellent pub. It's a proper local, but they do good food. The nearest shop is two miles away in Greenodd.
You're about two miles from the southern tip of Lake Windermere. It's quieter down that end, fewer people. Bowness is about twelve miles north if you want the busier bit with the boats.
You can get to Coniston Water, Ulverston, and Grange-over-Sands in fifteen to twenty minutes by car. The Furness Fells are right there for walking. For a longer drive, the Langdales and Ambleside are within half an hour.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
