The Old Chapel
The Old Chapel is in Lowick Green, which is a small, quiet hamlet near Spark Bridge. It's a detached, converted chapel. It sleeps eight.
It's a really big space inside. High ceilings and large windows. The stairs up to the main bedroom are glass-fronted and open to the living area, so it's not private. Just so you know. All four bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom, which is useful with a group.
The kitchen is large and has everything. There's a utility room off the hall, which is good for boots and dogs. The garden is enclosed.
It's rural. There's a local pub, The Farmers Arms, a few minutes walk away. For a shop, you'd drive to Ulverston or Coniston.
You're well placed for the southern Lakes. Coniston Water is about ten miles, for swimming or boats. Ulverston is closer, with its town centre and canal. The coast at Bardsea is five miles. Windermere, Bowness, and the attractions there are about a 30 minute drive. For walks, you're on the edge of the Lake District National Park and not far from the Furness coast.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a few cars. The property is all on one level except for the one bedroom in the rafters. It accepts up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
