Borran Annexe
This is the Borran Annexe. It's part of our house, in Oxen Park. It's a studio apartment, so everything's in one open space, but there's a separate wet room. It's rated 3 Star – it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
It sleeps two. The bed and living area are all together in the one room. The garden patio out the front is yours to use. It's east-facing, so you get the morning sun.
The local pub, the Farmers Arms, is a two-minute walk up the road. They do food. The nearest shop is a bit of a drive, about three and a half miles away in Greenodd.
You're right on the edge of the Grizedale Forest. It's three miles to the visitor centre. Lots of walking and cycling trails start there, from easy to very difficult. They have a cafe too.
Oxen Park has a community cinema. They show films in the village hall through the autumn and winter. It's a proper local thing.
If you fancy a day out, Coniston Water is about a fifteen-minute drive. The beaches at Morecambe Bay are around half an hour away. For a bigger town, Ulverston is twenty minutes by car.
The annexe has its own parking space right outside. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
