Souterstead
Souterstead is in Torver, near Coniston. It's a detached house, so there are no neighbours attached. You get your own parking and the whole garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The main living room has a wood burner and French doors out to the garden.
There's a second room with a big TV and space for games consoles, if that's important. The kitchen has things like a boiling water tap and a wine cooler. Underfloor heating downstairs keeps it warm.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Coniston Water is a five minute drive. For walking, Coniston Old Man is the obvious one, but you can get to Grizedale Forest or Hawkshead easily. There are two dog-friendly pubs you can walk to, about half a mile away.
If you want to go out on Coniston Water, the steam yacht Gondola runs from March to November. Ambleside and Windermere are about a twenty to thirty minute drive for more shops and things.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and the garden is fully enclosed. We take up to two dogs. There's an outside tap for washing off muddy boots or paws.
