Days Bank
Days Bank is in Coniston. It's a stone cottage on a quiet lane. The view from the front looks out over the lake.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's been done up nicely. The living room has a wood burner. The stairs lead up to the main bedroom. From there, another staircase goes up to a mezzanine level with a roll-top bath behind a glass screen. The second bedroom has twin beds and a shower cubicle in the room itself.
There's a small front garden with the view, and a little patio out the back. You can park on Old Furness Road.
The village centre is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about 200 yards away. The lake is also a short walk. You can get the steamer from there.
For getting about, Hawkshead is a short drive. You can catch the car ferry from there over to Windermere. The area is good for walking and cycling. If you want to go further, Ambleside and Grasmere are within half an hour.
Facilities: there's wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. No pets.
