Mountain Escape
Mountain Escape is just behind the main street in Coniston village. It's an apartment above a shop. It sleeps up to eight.
The layout is over two floors. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom, downstairs there is another bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a super king bed that can be split into twins if you ask beforehand. There is a separate playroom for kids and a study if someone needs to work.
The views from the front look out across the village to the Old Man. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.
You are right in the village. There's a pub about forty yards away that brews its own beer. The local shops are useful, there's a butcher and a couple of places for coffee and food.
For walks, you can start from the door. The Coniston Fells are there if you want a proper climb. Coniston Water is a few minutes' walk for a swim or hiring a kayak. The Steam Yacht Gondola is worth a trip if you want to see the lake without walking.
Hawkshead is about four miles away. It's a nice place for a wander, has some good cafes. Ambleside is about eight miles for more shops and places to eat.
Facilities wise, it's all included: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. There's on site parking for one car. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
