Dale View is in Little Langdale. It's a detached cottage with good views across the valley. You can see the fells from most windows.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. One of the bedrooms is in a separate building next to the main house. It's still part of the same property, but it gives a bit more privacy if you want it.
The place is rated 5 Star. It's well done. There's a woodburner in the living room, underfloor heating, and a freestanding bath. The kitchen is open plan with a big table. It's a good spot for everyone to be together.
You're right in the walking country here. The Langdale Pikes are on your doorstep. For a challenging drive, you're at the bottom of Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass. They're as steep and twisty as people say. The National Cycle Route 37 goes through the valley if you're bringing bikes.
There's a local pub within walking distance. Ambleside is about a fifteen minute drive for bigger shops. Hawkshead and Coniston are also close, maybe twenty minutes. You're well placed for Grasmere, Keswick, and Windermere, all within half an hour.
Facilities: everything on the list is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. The garden is enclosed. Parking for a couple of cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
