Greenbank House

This is Greenbank House. It's a big, detached house in Skelwith Bridge. There's also a private annexe attached to the main house, which is handy if you've got extra people or want a bit more space.

It sleeps ten people in total across five bedrooms. There's four bathrooms, so no big queues in the morning. The rating is 4 Star, which feels about right.

The living room is upstairs. It's a good spot, with views out over the garden towards the fells. There's a wood burner. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. The conservatory is bright and looks out onto the terrace and garden, which is fully enclosed.

You get a games room in the annexe. The garden is big and private. There's off-road parking.

As for location, Skelwith Bridge is small. The river is just down the lane. You can walk to Skelwith Force waterfall from here. There's a pub and a very popular café, Chester's By The River, about 200 yards away.

You're well placed for the central Lakes. Ambleside is a ten minute drive. Coniston and Windermere are about fifteen minutes. Langdale is just up the road, maybe five minutes by car. That gives you access to walks like the Langdale Pikes.

Useful links if you're planning: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.

On facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair are all here. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
