Hayrake is a cottage in Ambleside. It's made of Lakeland stone and is on the edge of the village. You can walk to the shops and pubs.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and homely, not fancy. The views get better the higher up you go, looking out towards the Coniston fells.
It's an old place. There are exposed beams and an open fire. The floors are uneven in parts and some floorboards squeak. The stairs are steep. They're narrow in places as well.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can have one dog. There's a garden too.
For walks and days out, you're right in the Lake District. Ambleside is good for shops and cafes. For wider planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and the National Trust looks after a lot of the local places.
