The Hollies is in Bowness on Windermere. It's a one-bedroom cottage, sleeps two. It was refurbished a few years back, so it's tidy and fresh.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, which is unusual for a cottage around here.
You can walk everywhere. The shops, pubs, and restaurants in Bowness are about 100 yards away. They're good. There's a mix of places to eat and drink.
From the cottage, you can walk straight out onto the footpaths. It's a good base for that. For the lake, you're a short walk down into Bowness itself. The ferry to Hawkshead is close by if you want to explore the other side.
Windermere village is a walk up the hill from Bowness. More shops and cafes up there.
Facilities: parking on site, WiFi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. The utilities are covered too. No pets allowed, sorry.
