Betsy Cottage
Betsy Cottage is in Windermere town centre. You can walk to the shops and the station. It's a terrace cottage, but it's got its own parking space at the back which is useful.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable. The bathroom is big, with a separate shower and a deep bath. The patio faces southwest so it gets the sun in the afternoon if the weather's good.
The stairs are typical for a cottage. They turn a corner and they're not the widest.
You're about 150 yards from the main street with pubs and restaurants. The railway station is 250 yards. You can walk up to Orrest Head from the door for the view. It's a proper walk up a hill, but it's worth it.
Windermere lake is about a mile down the road. You can get the steamer from there. Windermere Lake Cruises run the boats.
Within half an hour you can drive to Ambleside, Grasmere, or Hawkshead. The roads get busy in summer. For wider walks and information, Lake District National Park is the site to use.
It says one pet is allowed. There's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, and bedding is included. The garden is enclosed.
