Belle View
Belle View is in Bowness on Windermere. It's a two-storey townhouse that's been split into two apartments. You'd be renting the top floor flat, the one with the balcony.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after, but it's not a show home.
The location is the main thing. It's a two minute walk to the middle of Bowness. You can leave the car and just stroll down to the shops, cafes, and the lake. The lake shore is about five minutes on foot.
It's got parking on site. That's handy, as parking in the centre can be a pain.
As for facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The stairs inside the apartment are fine, but there's also a shared external staircase to get up to your front door. We've put a stairgate at the top of that for safety.
There's a pub about 200 yards away. There are plenty of places to eat in the town.
For a day out, you're right in the middle of it. Windermere Lake Cruises start from Bowness Bay. The World of Beatrix Potter is a ten minute walk. For walks, you can pick up trails from the town, or drive into the fells. Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre, is about a ten minute drive along the lake.
