Glebe View is a townhouse in Bowness. It's on a residential street up the hill from the main part of town. You can see a sliver of the lake from the first floor balcony.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, and a separate loo on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star property, so it's well kitted out.
The kitchen is the main thing. It's large and has SMEG appliances, two ovens, and a coffee machine. The dining table seats eight easily. The living area is open plan to the kitchen, so it's a good space if you're all together.
There is a garage with a washing machine and tumble dryer. You can store bikes or paddleboards in there.
The stairs are typical for this sort of house. There's a bedroom with an en-suite on the ground floor. The other three bedrooms and the main bathroom are on the top floor. That bathroom has a freestanding bath.
Bowness centre is a five to ten minute walk downhill. The lake, boats, shops, and pubs are all there. For a walk with a good view, Orrest Head in Windermere is close by and not too strenuous.
Within a half hour drive you can get to Grasmere, Ambleside, and a lot of the central fells. Further afield, Keswick and the northern lakes are about 45 minutes.
Facilities include parking on the drive, WiFi, and bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
