Elleray Cottage is in Windermere, right in the town. It's detached, so no one attached to the sides. You can walk to the shop, the pub, and places to eat, they're about 200 yards down the road.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have their own shower room, and the other one has the main bathroom right next door. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well done and everything works.
There are two living rooms. One upstairs has a big wood burner, views over the lake, and doors out to the garden. The other one is on the ground floor and has another wood burner. The kitchen is good. It has everything. The dining table seats eight.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking on the drive. The entrance is level, so it's okay for wheelchairs to get in.
You're in the middle of Windermere, so you can walk to the station and get the bus or train. The lake is about a 20 minute walk downhill. For boats and trips, you go to Bowness-on-Windermere, which is next door.
If you drive, you can get to Ambleside in about ten minutes, or Grasmere in about twenty. The main bits of the Lake District National Park are all within half an hour. For historic houses, Sizergh is about twenty minutes south.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
