Primrose Cottage
Primrose Cottage is in Storrs, just outside Bowness-on-Windermere. It's a terraced cottage in a little row, on a quiet lane.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs: one double, one with twin beds. One bathroom upstairs too. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. It's an old cottage, so the ceilings are a bit low in places. If you're tall, watch your head on the beams upstairs.
Downstairs is all open plan. There's a kitchen area, a dining table, and a sitting area with a sofa and chairs. There's an open fireplace you can use. It’s a simple, honest space.
You can walk down to Bowness in about 20 minutes, maybe half an hour. It's all the usual Lake District town stuff there: shops, pubs, places to eat. The lake is right there. You can get boat trips from Bowness pier.
The cottage is good for walking. You can pick up loads of footpaths from the door. For bigger days, the Fairfield horseshoe is nearby, or you can drive to Ambleside or Grasmere in about 15 minutes. Windermere itself is a five minute drive.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, parking for one car right outside, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
