Alright, so Bogle Barn is in Satterthwaite. It's a hamlet, really. Quiet. Feels separate from everything, but you're actually not far from Grizedale Forest.
The barn sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower rooms. That's useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, it's comfortable.
The main thing is the layout. The kitchen and dining table are upstairs. It's open plan so you're all together. There's a wood burner downstairs in the living room. It heats the place up quickly.
Outside is a courtyard at the front. You can sit out there. It looks over the fields.
There's a pub in the village. The Eagle's Head. It's about a five minute walk. Good food. Grizedale Forest is literally a mile down the lane. Miles of walking and cycling trails. The Forestry England site has maps.
Hawkshead village is about four miles away. That's where you'll find the shops, a few more pubs, Beatrix Potter's house. Coniston is maybe ten minutes in the car. You can go on the lake there, or walk up the Old Man if you're feeling fit.
Windermere and Ambleside are within half an hour if you need bigger supermarkets or just fancy a change of scene.
In terms of what's here, it's all as you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage and parking right outside. You can bring two dogs.
If you're planning walks, the Lake District National Park website is the best place to start.
