Sunny Beck is in Low Nibthwaite, which is on the south end of Coniston Water. It's a semi-detached stone cottage. It used to be part of the old sawmill here.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has everything you need, but it's not fancy. The garden is about half an acre. It's mostly lawn and shrubs, with a few places to sit. The cottage boundary runs along the beck, so you have private fishing rights there.
A large garage comes with it. It’s good for parking a car and storing bikes or a boat. There's more parking for two cars outside.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the lake shore. The walking and mountain biking from the door is excellent. You can get right onto the fells or around Coniston Water without using the car.
The nearest pub is about a mile and a quarter away in Nibthwaite. It does food. The closest shop is in Greenodd, about four and a half miles.
Coniston village is a ten minute drive up the lake. Ulverston is about twenty minutes south. If you want to go further, Windermere, Ambleside, and the central fells are all within a half hour drive.
In the cottage there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
