Fallbarrow Hall is in Bowness on Windermere. It's a big Victorian Gothic house, Grade II listed, right next to the lake. It sleeps 36, which is a lot. There are 18 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, mostly en-suite. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and finished to a high standard.
The house is on a private bit of the Fallbarrow Holiday Park. You've got your own gardens with a view of the lake. It's about a five minute walk into the centre of Bowness, so you can leave the car.
Inside, it's been renovated. The ceilings are high. There's a big kitchen that everyone can gather in, and a dining room that seats everyone for a big meal. For things to do, there's a games room with pool and table tennis, a TV lounge, a library, a cinema room, and a kids' den. There's also a bar.
Outside, the holiday park has a restaurant and bar called The Willow, a marina onto the lake, a playground, and some sports courts.
Bowness has everything: shops, pubs, restaurants. You can get the Windermere lake steamers from there to Ambleside or Lakeside. You can hire boats.
You're in the Lake District National Park, so walking and cycling is right on the doorstep. For planning days out, National Trust Lake District has good information on their properties and walks.
Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and on-site parking. They allow up to four pets. There's a cot and highchair available.
