Crag View is a first-floor apartment in a big old house near Ambleside. It's up a bit of a slope, so you get the views. The windows in the living room face west, so you can see the fells and the sunsets. You can just see a sliver of Windermere from the window seats.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is part of a Victorian manor, so it has high ceilings and big rooms. The kitchen looks out over the communal gardens. We get roe deer through there most days. You get one dedicated parking space, and there are other spots free for more cars.
You're really close to the lake. It's a two-minute walk down through Borrans Park to the shore at Waterhead. There's a pier there where you can get the cruise boats. The remains of Galava Roman Fort are right there in the park too. If you fancy a walk, you can get straight onto the fells from the door. The path up Todd Crag is a good one.
Ambleside town centre is about a ten-minute walk. Plenty of pubs, shops, cafes. There are two cinemas. The Old Stamp House is the fancy one with the Michelin star. The open-top buses stop nearby if you don't want to drive.
The apartment has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a patio area with furniture. No pets, I'm afraid.
