Ghyllside 3
This is Ghyllside 3. It's a bungalow up in Ambleside, near the top of the cul-de-sac by Stockghyll Falls. It's quiet up there, not much traffic. You get good views of the Fairfield Horseshoe from the front.
It sleeps six, across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's a proper family home, not a showpiece. Most of it is on one level, but one bedroom and the garage are down some stairs.
The garden at the back is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to two. It's a decent size with a patio. The front has shrubs and is open plan.
You're a short walk downhill into Ambleside centre for shops and cafes. There's a pub nearby too. The path to Stockghyll Falls starts practically from the gate, which is handy. For bigger walks, you're right in it. Wansfell is behind you.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking for a couple of cars on the drive. Bedding is included and we can put a cot in if you need one.
For ideas, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The National Trust looks after a lot of the local places like Wray Castle and fell access.
