The Hollies
The Hollies is in Ambleside, at the bottom of Wansfell. It's a stone cottage, end of a terrace of two. You get a small patio out the back. It looks out over the town towards the fells.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. There's an old fireplace with a wood burner, which works well. The stairs are steep, it's that sort of cottage.
The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
You can walk into the centre of Ambleside in a few minutes. There's a pub close by that does food. For everything else, the shops and cafes in the village are right there.
You're basically at the foot of Wansfell Pike for a walk. For bigger days, the Fairfield horseshoe starts nearby. Windermere lake is about a ten minute drive if you want to get out on the water. Grasmere, Rydal, and Langdale are all within fifteen minutes by car.
