April Cottage is on a quiet street in Windermere. It's an end-terrace, traditional stone cottage. From the outside it looks quite compact but it's actually quite spacious inside.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one is an ensuite off the main bedroom. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so mind your head if you're tall.
The living room has a wood burner. There's a smart TV. The kitchen is modern and has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher. The dining table seats everyone. Out the back is an enclosed patio with a table and chairs. It's a sunny spot.
It's a four star rating. The furnishings are good quality and it's kept clean. Bedding and towels are included.
You're about a ten minute walk from the centre of Windermere village. There are shops, pubs, and cafes there. Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake are about a twenty minute walk downhill.
For walks, Orrest Head is close by and gives you a great view over the lake. You're right in the middle of everything. Ambleside is about a fifteen minute drive. Keswick is roughly half an hour. Grasmere is about twenty minutes.
The cottage has WiFi and a washing machine. Sorry, no pets.
