This is April Cottage in Windermere. It's an end-of-terrace house on a quiet street in the conservation area.
It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one is an en-suite off the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's a bit more than just the basics.
The living room has a wood burner which works well. There's a decent sized kitchen with a dining table. The garden is a small, enclosed patio area out the back. It's a suntrap, good for a coffee or a drink.
A note about the stairs: they are steep and a bit narrow. They're typical for a cottage like this, but you need to be careful.
You're right in Windermere village. Shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs are a few minutes' walk away. Lake Windermere itself is about a ten-minute walk downhill. You can get boat trips from there.
For walking, Orrest Head is close by and gives you a good view over the lake. Further afield, Ambleside is about ten minutes by car, and Grasmere maybe twenty. If you want a big day out, Keswick and the northern lakes are about half an hour's drive.
Included in the property: bedding and towels, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. The parking is on-street, but it's usually fine to find a space nearby. No pets, I'm afraid.
