Lower Sycamore Cottage is in the middle of Ambleside. It's a studio apartment for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after. Everything's on one floor except you go down a few steps into the bedroom area. It's private and quiet for being so central.
It's good for walkers. You can leave the car. Stock Ghyll Force is a ten minute walk up the path from the back of the cottage. For the lake, it's about a ten minute walk down to Waterhead to catch the ferry. The house is on a slope, so some walks back will be uphill.
The kitchen is small but has what you need, including a dishwasher. The shower is good and powerful. There's an electric stove that looks like a wood burner for warmth. A small private patio area out the back has a table and chairs.
The location is the main thing. You're about 50 yards from the main street with its shops and restaurants. A good pub is 150 yards away. It's a proper Lakeland town location.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine for wet walking gear.
If you need more space, you can book this place together with Upper Sycamore Cottage next door. That sleeps four, so together they'd sleep six.
