Chartfield is on a terraced street in Windermere. It's about five minutes walk from the village shops and cafés. It's an end terrace, so you've got a bit of side access.
It sleeps eight. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two doubles, two singles, and a twin bedroom on the ground floor. That's useful if someone struggles with stairs. The stairs inside are normal, not too steep.
The living space is split. There's a main sitting room with a gas fire and a smaller snug with a wood burner. Both have TVs. The kitchen has what you need, plus a small TV and a radio. The dining room fits everyone.
Outside, there's a small gated patio area. It gets the sun. You can lock a few bikes there.
You get two parking permits with a booking. One is for on-street near the house. The other is a big one that covers over 30 Lake District National Park car parks. That saves you paying at each one.
Windermere village has everything: shops, pubs, places to eat. It's all a short walk. Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake are down the hill, about a 15-20 minute walk. You can get boat trips from there.
For walks, you can start from the door. For driving, Grasmere and Ambleside are about 15 minutes. Keswick is under half an hour. Further out, you've got Ullswater or Coniston within a 30 minute drive.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
