Chartfield is in Windermere. It's an end terrace house. It's a five minute walk to the main street. Shops, pubs, and restaurants are about 100 yards away.
It sleeps eight people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The layout is quite good for a group. There's a main living room with a gas fire and a separate snug with a wood burner. That means if some people want to watch something different, or if the kids are making noise, you can spread out. The kitchen is a decent size and there's a proper dining room that fits everyone.
Four of the bedrooms are upstairs. There's a twin bedroom on the ground floor. That's useful if someone doesn't want to do the stairs. The stairs are fine, just normal.
Outside, there's a small gated patio area. It gets the sun. You can fit a few bikes there.
We provide two car parking permits. One is for the local car park, the other is for National Park car parks all over the Lake District. That saves you paying at each one.
From the house, you can walk down to Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake. It's about 15-20 minutes. You can get steamer trips from there. For walking, you can start right from the door.
Within half an hour's drive you've got a lot. Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston Water, and the start of the Langdales. For a longer day out, Keswick and Derwentwater are about 40 minutes.
The facilities are what you'd expect: Wi-Fi, TVs, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
