Fairfield Cottage is a terraced house in Ambleside. It's on a hill, so the front rooms look out over the rooftops and across to the fells. It's not a remote spot. You're about a five minute walk downhill to the shops and pubs.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There's one good-sized bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The stairs to the top floor are fairly steep, as you'd expect in an old place.
The living room has a gas fire and a wood burner in the kitchen diner. That's the main source of warmth downstairs, so you'll want to use it. The garden is at the back, up a few steps. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You have everything here: a washing machine, WiFi, on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
Ambleside has everything you need: places to eat, outdoor shops, a little cinema. You can hire bikes or boats. Lake Windermere is there for cruises. Most people come to walk, and you can step straight out onto the fells from the door. Langdale is a short drive away.
