Rydal Cottage is in Bowness on Windermere. It's an old place, 18th century. You can walk into the village centre in a few minutes, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are quite steep, like a lot of these old cottages.
The living room has a wood burning stove. The kitchen has what you need. There's a utility room with a washing machine and a proper fridge-freezer, which is useful. Outside is a small enclosed courtyard. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're right in Bowness, so all the shops, cafes and restaurants are on the doorstep. You can walk down to the lake in five minutes to get on the boats. The World of Beatrix Potter is here, and there's the old cinema.
For a good walk nearby, Orrest Head in Windermere village gives you the classic view over the lake. Further into the fells, somewhere like Ambleside or Grasmere is about a fifteen minute drive. You can be walking up a proper fell in half an hour.
The property listing says it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. There's a walk-in shower. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi and TV are there. There's no parking with the cottage itself, but there's a public car park about a two minute walk away. No pets.
