Orrest Howe
Orrest Howe is our house up on Orrest Head. It’s detached, in a woodland garden. Sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It’s got a 5 Star rating so everything’s in good order.
The place is big. There are two living rooms, one with a wood burner. The kitchen is modern and has a big wine chiller. Most bedrooms have views over the trees to Windermere. Three have their own bathrooms.
The garden has different seating spots. There’s a hot tub at the back. You can see a good bit of the fells from there.
You can walk to pubs, restaurants, and shops in under five minutes. Or, you can go straight out the gate and up Orrest Head itself. That walk starts right there.
Windermere village and the lake are about a fifteen minute walk downhill. Bowness is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes on foot.
It’s a good base for driving. Ambleside is ten minutes in the car. Grasmere is about twenty. Keswick is maybe thirty-five minutes. You’re right in the middle of things.
Facilities: parking on site, EV charger, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
