Newstead is a big Victorian house from 1897. It's on the main road between Windermere and Bowness, so the location is dead central.
It sleeps twelve, in six bedrooms. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is useful with that many people. There's a mix of double beds and four-posters. Five bedrooms are upstairs, one is on the ground floor.
Downstairs, there's a good-sized living room and a separate dining room with a big table for everyone to eat together. The kitchen is modern and has another small seating area that leads out to the back courtyard.
It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and well maintained.
You can walk into Windermere village in about five minutes. There are supermarkets there. Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake are about a fifteen minute walk downhill. From there you can get on the boats. Ambleside is a ten minute drive, Grasmere about fifteen, and Keswick around thirty five minutes.
The house has parking. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets.
