Broadberry Cottage is on a street in Windermere, about a ten minute walk from the town. It's one of a row. You get a small patio out the back and a parking space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a three star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It's set on three floors, so the stairs are quite steep and narrow. It's just how these old cottages are.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. We provide the wood. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and parking.
You can bring one dog. There's a field at the end of the road for walks.
Windermere town has shops, pubs, and places to eat. It's a short walk. Bowness is about a mile down the hill. That's where you get onto the lake. You can get ferries from there to Ambleside or just hire a boat. Queens Park is a couple of minutes away if you need a green space or a play area.
If you want to explore, Ambleside is about ten minutes by car. Grasmere is maybe twenty. The real walking starts from those places. For a different day out, the National Trust has a few big houses and gardens nearby, like Wray Castle. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning routes.
The facilities list says local golf, fishing, and horse riding. They are there if you look for them.
