18 In The Corner

18 In The Corner is in Windermere. It's a few steps back from the main street, which means it's quiet but you can get to everything in a minute or two.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room, which is useful if you've been out walking in the rain. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean, comfortable and well looked after.

The kitchen has everything you'd need. The lounge has a woodburning stove. We leave some logs for you to get started.

You can park one car on the drive at the side.

The town centre is a short walk. There's a shop about 100 yards away, a restaurant 50 yards, and a pub 200 yards. The train station is also walking distance if you're coming by rail or want to take a trip without driving.

For the lake, you'd go down to Bowness. It's about a mile. You can get the steamers from there. A lot of walks start right from the door, or you can drive a short way to get onto the fells.

If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
